Streamlining Filter Procurement for Off-Highway Machinery Fleets

In today's economy, every penny counts.  Businesses are grappling with economic uncertainties, inflationary pressures, and volatile commodity prices.

That's why it's more important than ever for organizations that maintain fleets of machinery to streamline their filter procurement process.

Traditional procurement deals with numerous suppliers, manages inventory across multiple locations, and holds superfluous stock.

By collaborating with us, you will accurately identify filter needs, decrease stock, and reduce admin. You'll save money and increase time for core business activities.

Filter Procurement Challenges

There are always challenges with filter procurement.

Excessive stockholding binds capital, wastes space, and increases risk of obsolescence Locating correct filters is difficult, especially if they’re seldom used.  This often results in unnecessary reordering.

Managing inventory across depots with multiple suppliers is challenging, error-prone, and admin-heavy.

Holm understands these challenges.

Using extensive industry experience, cutting-edge technology, and a data-driven approach, we provide comprehensive solutions that tackle critical pain points.

Get Lean

Using a "lean" inventory management system dramatically cuts costs.

Holm uses the lean RRS (Runners, Repeaters, Strangers) principle to categorize filters based on demand. It reduces wastage and unnecessary reordering.

Companies that use this method save up to 20% on filter procurement alone and cut stock holding by up to 80%.

How does it work?

We analyse a fleet using extensive databases and purchasing patterns from thousands of customers. This enables us to identify your Runners, Repeaters & Strangers and propose a solution to reduce your stockholding and optimise your inventory management.

What is RRS?

The Lean RRS (Runners, Repeaters and Strangers) framework categorizes filters based on demand patterns, providing efficient stockholding.

  • Runners: High demand filters, vital for frequent maintenance of machinery. We recommend that these filters are readily available in your workshops.
  • Repeaters:  Less common than Runners, but still used quite often.
  • Strangers: Infrequently used, often overlooked during inventory checks, leading to wastage and reordering.

We recommend that Repeaters and Strangers aren't stocked in your workshop.  Instead, we’ll hold these items for you.  When required, they are available on a same-day despatch basis.  Not stocking seldom used filters greatly reduces stockholding and costs.

When partnering with Holm, organizations navigate the complexities of filter procurement by optimizing stockholding, achieving substantial cost savings, reduce administrative burdens, transform their filter procurement processes, and pave the way for long-term success.
