Terex first began operations in 1933 and was originally known as Euclid Company. It was not until 1970 when the Terex name came to fruition after the owners at the time (General Motors) toko the Latin words ‘terra’ to mean earth and ‘rex’ to mean king and join them together. Terex essentially translating to Earth King.
