The UK Plant Operator of the Year Competition 2023 – the ultimate rodeo for the construction and plant machinery industry.
On Saturday 30th September, plant operators gathered at the National Construction College in Kings Lynn Peterborough for their chance to win £10,000 and the title: “Plant Operator of the Year.”
Here’s a quick recap of the day.
Gordon Durno. Now a name that needs no introduction. He is the winner of the UK Plant Operator of the Year 2023, the £10,000 and a very bountiful goody bag with gifts from all the sponsors.
The Scotsman works for Currie Contractors and took home the Scottish Plant Operator Challenge earlier this year.
With a lifetime in the industry, Gordon Durno’s incredible skill has been developed to painstaking perfection with incredible speed.
A huge thank you to Brian Coogan and Jeff Schofield for making this day the showcase of the industry for all ages.
